Paver Cleaning, Re-Sand & Seal — Three-Step Restoration

Strip-clean to open joints, polymeric re-sand, joint-stabilizing seal. Skip any one step and the others fail.

  • Polymeric Sand
  • Moisture-Meter Verified
  • Licensed & Insured
  • Wet-Look or Matte

We solve these symptoms

If any of this sounds like your home, you're in the right place.

  • Joints washing out after every storm
  • Weeds growing between pavers
  • Color faded from sun and traffic
  • Embedded algae stains the surface keeps
  • Old sealer chalky, peeling, or yellowed
  • Pavers shifting because the sand is gone

What's included

  • Surface clean to open the joints
  • Removal of old polymeric sand
  • Fresh polymeric sand sweep and activation
  • Wet-look or matte sealer (your choice)
  • Edge-restraint check and weed-barrier touch-up
  • Moisture-meter verification before sealer touches pavers

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Clean

Surface-clean pavers and flush joints to remove old sand and biological growth.

  2. Step 2

    Dry

Full 24–48 hour dry depending on weather and shade.

  3. Step 3

    Sand

Sweep polymeric sand into every joint, blow surface clean, then mist to activate.

  4. Step 4

    Seal

Roll or spray sealer at manufacturer-spec coverage rate — no puddling.

Three steps that must happen together

Florida pavers need three things done together: a deep clean that opens the joints, fresh polymeric sand swept into every joint, and a joint-stabilizing sealer that locks the sand and brings color back. Skip any one and the others fail — sand without cleaning seals dirt in, sealer without re-sanding lets weeds back through the joints. We quote all three together because that's what actually works.

Why a moisture meter matters

Sealing wet pavers traps moisture and goes milky white within a week. Every contractor knows this; not every contractor uses a moisture meter to verify before they seal. We do. Especially in the rainy season — a 48-hour dry window after a thunderstorm sometimes isn't enough, and only a meter tells you for sure.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my paver driveway look milky white after sealing?+

That's trapped moisture. Sealing pavers that aren't fully dry traps water and the sealer goes milky within a week. We use a moisture meter — not a finger — before sealer touches the surface.

How long does sealer last?+

3–5 years for the joint stabilizer and color depth. The pavers themselves last decades; the seal just needs refreshing on that cycle.

Wet-look or matte — which is better?+

Personal preference. Wet-look enhances color and grain, makes pavers look richer. Matte preserves the natural look. We bring samples of both on the day we seal so you can see them on your actual pavers.

Can I drive on the pavers after sealing?+

Walk traffic in 4 hours. Light passenger-car traffic in 24 hours. Trucks and trailers in 48–72 hours depending on weather. We text reminders.

What if my pavers have weeds growing through?+

Polymeric sand kills the joint as a weed germination zone — weeds can't take hold in cement-bonded joints. Combined with our edge-restraint check, weed return is essentially zero for the first 3 years.

Versailles limestone columns had organic staining for years. Their neutral chemistry pulled it without etching the stone. Other quotes wanted to use acid — glad we didn't.

Quarterly salt-rinse plan for our Frenchman's Creek east elevation. Cheaper than redoing the paint job in 3 years. Smartest hundred-and-something dollars a quarter I spend.

Jupiter Farms barn aisles, run-in shed roofs, RV pad — they cleaned it all on one visit and brought their own water for the well. Will book them every year.

Polo Club tennis-court dust on our house was relentless. Annual cleaning kept it manageable. Sparkle & Shine knew the issue before I described it.
